According to Forrester Research, the biggest challenge of personalisation is to understand what content should be distributed. This illustrates the starting point of the project AIDAR at the Bavarian Research Center for Knowledge-based Systems (FORWISS).

The research project considers SIS from both content and technical perspective assuming that personalization has a sustainable value for stakeholders.

The first objective of the project is to analyze the corporate communication to stakeholders in the Internet: Which information do companies share with their stakeholders? What information do they provide in their life cycle, e.g., foundation or crisis?

The second objective is to develop a model consisting of parameters determining the information requirements of stakeholders: Which events trigger the distribution of information to a stakeholder? What business content do stakeholders demand for their decisions, tasks or expectations? How should internal and external data sources be integrated?

Last, our pragmatic research goal is to realize prototypical applications for a personalized SIS: Which knowledge-based techniques enhance SIS? How could role-based stakeholder portal and messages be built? Which methods of user modeling are suitable for a dynamic adaptation of content in the running system? How can agent technology support personalization in real-time?
