The company of the future is a networked enterprise, even virtual: Production, distribution, controlling and management are all connected through a central information network. Employees must be able to access data and information at any time, regardless of their location. Information and knowledge management have become key instruments of success. As a partner of both industry and society at large, the Bavarian Research Center for Knowledge-Based Systems FORWISS is developing intelligent software solutions to provide technical support for modern knowledge management and help control the growing flood of information. Together with our partners in medical technology, the automobile industry, the service sector, software and production industries, and government, we are developing comprehensive, widely applicable methods, processes, and prototypes.

FORWISS is founding member of the Working Group of German AI Institutes and the Association of Bavarian Research Cooperations (abayfor). We are registered scientific consultants at the Bavarian Landesgewerbeanstalt.
